Thinking!

Hmmmm....after a loooooong break from "junking", I think my Mom and I might be ready for a Christmas sale. Just maybe. Come on, get me in the mood!

I have been SUPER busy with Kindermusik and my own kiddos and Mom has been just plain busy, but now that Fall is here, it gets us both just a little bit in the mood.

Total Cost= $7 and a lot of fun!

This was an impulse purchase at an auction. I thought I would leave it as is, but I am not into the black decor and this piece started giving me the creeps being so black and dirty looking. I did a new technique that I learned from another blogger and am much happier with this cozy, happy piece. It looks great in it's new home.

Garbage Day!

I was so excited when I woke up and saw some great "trash" out by the curb...I grabbed a shelf which I didn't get before and after pics of, but it looks super cute in my house, a perfectly in-tact little boys bike and then came home to rethink the U-G-L-Y table. I actually had just placed a nice wooden table on my front porch, but was worried about it getting weathered, so this was going to be perfect to use. I ran back over and rescued it, sanded, primed, painted, sanded again and added a new drawer pull. Of course I had to call the neighbor over later to look and she loved it! Sorry! I am still considering doing a bit of staining to it, but wanted it out on the porch quickly. I will post pictures again if I do anything else to it. Anyone want to come have tea on my front porch?

A little TLC!

While doing some Goodwill shopping, Andrew found this beauty for $2.99. I thought it was sweet that he just knew I could bring it back to life. I did a quick makeover and within hours we were using it to store our family games. I had all the primer, paint, stain, sandpaper and knobs on hand so this project cost me a whopping $2.99! Everything should be given a second chance in life. This is a very sturdy piece with drawers that function as well.
